Report: “Israel and Saudi Arabia will work together in case of an Iran attack”

Jerusalem Post 17-Nov-13
Mossad agents met with senior level Saudi officials to formulate a joint attack on Iran, in case the talks between the world powers and Iran fail, the Sunday Times reported. “The Saudis are decisive in confronting Iran and the Israelis are ready to provide the help they need,” a senior level official told the newspaper.
The Sunday Times reported that Israeli Mossad agents have cooperated recently with senior level Saudi officials, in order to formulate a joint attack on Iran, in case an agreement signed with Iran won’t be acceptable to the two countries.

According to the report, which relies on diplomatic sources, Saudi Arabia has agreed to permit Israel to use her airspace, as well as to provide assistance to Israel through the use of drones, rescue helicopters, and aircraft refueling.

In the report, Saudi Arabia is quoted to be very angry with the west and is willing to provide Israel all the assistance she needs to deal militarily with Iran.
Like the Israeli government, the Saudi government is positive that the talks between Iran and the western powers will not yield significant progress that will prevent her from getting a nuclear bomb. According to the report, the two countries’ common sense requires keeping the military option on the table, because Iran is not more flexible on this issue.

“At the moment that the Geneva talks between Iran and the western powers reach an agreement, the military option will again return to the table,” the senior level source told the Sunday Times. “Saudi Arabia is decisive in confronting Iran and the Israelis are ready to provide the help they need.”
This mornings report joins previous reports that during secret talks between Israel and Saudi Arabia, the Saudis agreed to let Israeli planes pass over their territory in the event of an attack on Iran. But the new report indicates progress in Israeli-Saudi relations based on the fear of the common Iranian enemy.
Disagreements between Israel and the US

All of this is happening in the background of a crisis in the relationship between Israel and the United States in regards to the negotiations with Iran. While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that you cannot trust the Iranians, the Americans together with other western officials are determined to formulate an agreement to reduce the sanctions imposed on Iran.
Despite the crisis, US Secretary of State John Kerry is trying to lesson Israel’s fears regarding the talks. In an interview provided to MSNBC, Kerry stated that “conversations between me and Netanyahu are being managed friendly and with sophistication. We fully respect Israel’s deep worries regarding her perceived threat.”
